As you become older you realise that there are several essential things and places you always long to come back to. They are your home, your birthplace and your school.

Our school is a very large five-storeyed building in the centre of the town. There is a sports ground behind the school building and flower-beds in front of it.

I am in the ninth form now. But I still remember my first day at school and my first teacher. My teacher was kind and patient and always ready to help her little pupils. She seemed to know everything. She told us many interesting things and always answered our numerous questions. We loved her dearly.

Now we have many subjects and many teachers. Most of our teachers know their subject perfectly, they are well-educated and well-informed. They develop in their pupils a burning desire to know and love for the truth and beauty. We respect them deeply.

We shan’t forget our school years. I consider them to be a wonderful time of our lives that is full of dreams, new discoveries and true friends. I know that some of my school friends will remain friends for life. We often discuss our plans, we like to organize exciting school parties.

When I think about my school I don’t remember its walls or desks, it is my teachers and schoolmates who are with me for ever. I am thankful to our teachers for what they have done for us.
