It is necessary to take care
of our health. It’s an important thing to do, and if we want to live long and
happily, we have to follow certain rules. Most of them are simple – to keep our
flat clean, sweep the floor regularly. We must keep to a diet, eat more fruit
and vegetables and less fast food.
Sport is an important part of
a healthy life. From ancient times people believed that to have a healthy mind
you must have a healthy body. Sport does not only help you to stay fit – it
helps in many different ways. When you go in for sport you build your
character, learn to be strong, fast and patient. It makes men out of boys and
women out of girls. People who are good at some kind of sport never get bad
habits: they are not interested in drinking, smoking or overeating. They won’t
like it to sit up at night and get up late in the morning or spend long hours
sitting motionlessly in front of TV sets.
Sport teaches us to be
disciplined, helps us to meet people and make good friends. A sportsman has a
strong desire to win but he is not unhappy when he loses.
If you don’t have time for
sports you can always spend much time outside hiking about your country,
enjoying fresh air, beautiful forests and valleys. It’s a good idea to go
riding on a bike or pony-trekking. Too many people nowadays spend their lives
sitting down at desks, computers, in offices. These activities will be a good
change for them and improve their health. |
